S. FAUSTI -The mission of the "Samaritan" will be accomplished only when all men shall say, "Abba, Father!" .This Is the word that generates us in our truth of children. Jesus came to it teach us if we listen Him like Mary. He, after has revealed his mystery of Son and Brother, with this prayer He makes us to enter into God's paternity in it we want what is needed to live it. It is what He Himself gives us in the Eucharist, in which He offers Himself as food. Only at the end the prayer of bread and of the Spirit will cease required because we will have the fullness of His life. Then we will rejoice with Him in the Spirit. This prayer is a direct dialogue between a "Thou" which is the Father and a "we" that is the true myself, as in communion with the Son and with the brothers. In Jesus I can take back say "You" to the Father Who in His infinite love has from always addressed to me His word. In this "you" that I turn to the Father, in solidarity with me of His Son, I am meeting even the "we" of the brothers. The revelation of paternity bases and builds the fraternity. Without the "you" there is no prayer. And there is not even the man who is fleeing from himself or response to the "you" that God gives him. But even without the "we" there isn 't prayer, because they aren't able to stand before the Father separated from the Son and the brothers. With this prayer we say "here I am" to our truth of children, and we recognize our hidden identity . "Abbah " is the first word that the child stutters, his first hint of communication, joyful surprise to those who listen him with love. God is the Father of mercies, that is favorable to us and loves us more than Himself. The color of the Christian life is His paternal smile, His tenderness towards us and our trust in Him. We come from God and to Him we return. We come from the splendor of His Love and we are on his ways to go back. Our life is desire and search for Him who lets desire and seek Himself only because we overcome the deception that made us flee from Him. In Him we find our source that quenches our thirst of delights.
--->"Abba" is the ineffable word of God, that the Word says in Love to the Father, which is precisely His Word of love. It is the ecstasy of the Son in the Father. God will always be our Father, because the Son has become definitely our brother. For this to call God "Abba" it is to know and to proclaim the love of Jesus for me, my Lord. It is being in communion with Him who is in charge of me. It is to recognizes the gift that to me is participated in Him, the Son, in which I exist and I am what I am. Outside of Him I am not what I am and I am what I am not. The reality of this sonship is the Spirit of God, poured into our hearts, that in us groas with inexpressible groans. (Rom 5,5). To cry out "Abba" is faith in the Son who loved us and gave Himself for us (Gal 2:20);it is certain hope of a new world in which Lord is the Lord and we are all brothers, it is love as a response to the Father and to all of his children; it is joy of back at home, it's wealth of all blessing, it is satiation of each desire and desire of every fill, it is to attend to the banquet with the best robe, with the ring and the sandals, eating the calf sacrificed, it is the party with symphonys and dances that the Father has prepared for His lost son. To pray this prayer in the spirit of truth, is already the same fulfillment of all prayer. In fact, we calling God by the name of the Father, we accept His fatherhood and we ask that bread which is always needed every day: His love and His forgiveness to love and to forgive our brothers. What we ask in the "Our Father" everything is already made and donated to us in the Son. The sanctification of the name, the Kingdom, the bread, the forgiveness and the power of trust. Requesting it, we open our hands to receive it. It is the best prayer that we can do for us and for our brothers, we ask those gifts that the Father wants to do to all in the Son. The dominant theme is the fatherhood of God, which is expressed in the " to give." But for this they need to ask. Because He does not ignore or neglect our need, but because the gift can be received only by those who it wish. If late He in giving , it is only because the desire to grow, He does not give what we ask, because we purify our request and ask no longer a gift, but Him as gift-. Dryness in prayer serves to make pure the desire and to break each bank, because it become capable of receiving, over each gift, the Giver Himself who desires to give Himself.
