S. FAUSTI - The shepherds, who go without delaing, they are models of faith. The faith leads very quickly to the discovery of what has already happened. The event, even though revealed by the announcement, without faith it remains hidden. Only this makes it visible. The shepherds "see" the reality of what the Lord has made them to known . And it is so important that they cannot remain themselves from making it known to all the others. The shepherds who received the announcement, and believed and they have seen ; now they announce at their time.. What the angels have done the angels in heaven, so the shepherds are doing it on the earth ... It appears the missionary life of the Church: the message to listening, the listening to the vision. The first reaction to their announcement is the wonder. It 's the first degree of a heart that opens himself to receive something new, for him unbelievable. It 's the first positive reaction, suddenly accused, against the message , of "all" those who listen. Mary is presented as the believer who, while knowing well the facts,she can never be separated from the word heard. She always contains the deepest mysteries to see. For She keeps these words, seerbs with her as an intimate treasure in her heart - "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (12:34) - and compares, meditates and meets these . The whole Gospel will present these words to listen, to receive, to store, to meet, to measure, to understand, to combine with each other, in a continuous growth that germinates the fullness of the gift, the same mysteries of the kingdom of God. Our vision comes from listening to these words and will be always fragmentary, "like in a mirror ,in a confused way” Only at the end it will be compose again in our hearts the Voult whom we shall see face to face. In the shepherds who return "glorifying God" we see the first community of the Acts of the Apostles which meets after the Ascension, when will close the sky which opens there. . Their life becomes a "return". It's the return of man to himself, returning to the Father, done in the way of Jesus, the Son, who came to meet us. The shepherds who hearded and believed, then have seen what they have heard. They on their turn will become "angels", announcers of this joy that is for all the people.
